Winona Health and Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute announce partnership to expand access to heart care in southeast Minnesota

WINONA, Minn. (April 9, 2026) — Winona Health and Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute are pleased to announce a new partnership that brings leading cardiovascular expertise to Winona and surrounding communities. 

Starting April 13, Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute cardiologists will begin seeing patients on the first floor of the Winona Clinic. Appointments will be offered the second and fourth Monday of each month, making it easier to get comprehensive heart care in Winona. The partnership is designed to meet the needs of Winona Health’s patients by delivering in-person clinic days supported by Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute’s full spectrum of cardiovascular services and care coordination.

A cardiologist will be in the clinic twice a month, with care provided by Michael Miedema, MD; Jason Darrah, MD; Joel Money, MD and Andrew Pattock, MD.
