NEW ULM, Minn. (Sep. 11, 2025) — Allina Health New Ulm Medical Center welcomed a new family physician in early September. Kristina Fisher, DO, is an osteopathic physician in family medicine who takes a holistic approach to treating patients.
“I view the body as capable of self-healing,” shared Dr. Fisher. “That means the answer to better health is in lifestyle changes, honesty with yourself and hard work towards self-improvement.”
Hailing from Buffalo, Minn., Dr. Fisher is the first doctor in her immediate family. She said she chose to work in New Ulm because, “it’s a small town with so much to offer.” She focuses on family medicine because it allows her to build life-long relationships with her patients while still working with different medical specialties.
“I loved all the fields of medicine while in medical school and this field worked closely with all of them,” explained Dr. Fisher. “I find that patients often reveal what is wrong, as long as you take the time to listen and provide a thorough examination.”
When Dr. Fisher is not caring for patients, she enjoys swimming, fishing, home improvement projects and spending time with family.
Patients can call 507-217-5011 to set up an appointment with Dr. Fisher.
