With a focus on managing heart disease risks before they reach critical levels, Dr. Basharat treats his patients with respect and dignity.
“I work to develop a collaborative relationship with my patients,” said Dr. Basharat. “I want them to feel empowered in their health care journey.”
When he is not working with patients, Dr. Basharat enjoys traveling, skiing, playing tennis and spending time with family. He has worked and studied in Pakistan, Pennsylvania and California, and as a speaker of Urdu, he is also bilingual.
Dr. Basharat chose to join Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute and work in the institute’s northern region because of the access to state-of-the-art research and tools to care for the people who make up the tight-knit communities Allina Health serves.
