Allina Health Cancer Institute – Plymouth welcomes cancer patients at new expanded infusion center

PLYMOUTH, Minn. (July 12, 2023) — Allina Health Cancer Institute – Plymouth’s new expanded oncology infusion center is now open. It includes the addition of medical oncology providers, infusion services, and more clinic rooms – all closer to home for patients who live in the Twin Cities west metro.

Allina Health began construction on the expansion in May 2022 and it was completed in June 2023.

“With Allina Foundation donor support, we are so proud to add to our comprehensive cancer service offerings in the west metro, which exemplifies our vision for world class care close to home,” said Michael Koroscik, vice president, Allina Health Cancer Institute. “By increasing access to cancer care in the west metro, we are honoring our commitment to provide fully integrated, easy-to-navigate, state-of-the-art cancer treatment and Whole Person Care for all.”

The newly remodeled space at 2855 Campus Drive Suite 150 in Plymouth, MN has a modern look and feel with colorful artwork. It includes reclining chairs, a television, refreshments, and the same excellent nursing care. Mammography as well as breast surgical and medical oncology services will continue at the expanded location.

“At Allina Health Cancer Institute, we understand how difficult a cancer journey can be, and we want to make the process as smooth as possible by allowing our patients to have access to the full continuum of care close to where they live,” said Badrinath Konety, MD, president, Allina Health Cancer Institute. “We also believe the care journey is more than the medical care a person receives, and we hope this updated space will allow patients to feel as comfortable as possible.”

Allina Health Cancer Institute offers preventative care, early detection and treatment, including surgery, chemotherapy and infusion, as well as rehabilitation, palliative care and survivorship care.
