New primary care clinic opens in Eden Prairie featuring world-class heart care

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (Jan. 11, 2022) — The doors are now open for patients to receive cardiovascular care and primary care in one place in the west metro. Teams with Minneapolis Heart Institute (MHI) and Abbott Northwestern General Medicine Associates (ANGMA) have collaborated to create an integrated care model that provides adult patients cardiovascular and primary care in a differentiated, seamless way. 

“Our mission is to ensure patients are supported through every step of their care experience—from the time they make an appointment and open the door to the clinic to how they communicate with their care teams,” said Dr. Craig Strauss, a cardiologist and vice president for Quality, Innovation, and Advanced Analytics at MHI. “The new Allina Health clinic in Eden Prairie provides a patient-focused, digitally-supported, integrated care experience for patients to comfortably and confidently manage their care.”

People lead busy lives. In this unique facility, technology and digital health solutions will create a connected health experience, support collaboration between care teams, help patients manage health conditions and make communication more seamless. In addition, educational classes will help patients manage their health in a way that works for them.  This location allows them more care options under one roof and close to home. 

The new clinic offers an elevated experience for patients. This includes a welcome center including e-check in and other amenities to enhance patient comfort.
