Allina Health’s Abbott Northwestern and Mercy hospitals named to Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2022 List

MINNEAPOLIS (March 24, 2022) — Allina Health’s Abbott Northwestern Hospital and Mercy Hospital have been named to Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2022 List, awarded by Newsweek and Statista Inc. It is the third  year in a row that Abbott Northwestern Hospital has been named to the list and the first ranking for Mercy Hospital

The World’s Best Hospitals 2022 List awards recognizes the best medical institutions from across 27 countries and focuses on three critical data sources to evaluate each location:

  • Hospital recommendations from peers: an international online survey that included more than 74,000 doctors, hospital managers & health care professionals.
  • Patient experience: surveys measuring patient satisfaction with hospitals.
  • Medical KPIs (key performance indicators): patient safety, hygiene measures, and quality of treatment.
