Allina Health unites 12 foundations to create Allina Health Foundation

MINNEAPOLIS (April 5, 2022) — Allina Health is excited to announce an important evolution in its philanthropic mission—the introduction of the Allina Health Foundation and the hiring of Troy Lindloff as vice president, Chief Development Officer.

The Allina Health Foundation unites 12 independent hospital and service line foundations across the Allina Health system into one combined body.

Troy Lindloff Chief Development Officer“This is a time of exciting transformation, and we are delighted to have Troy join the Allina Health team to oversee Allina Health Philanthropy,” said Christine Moore executive vice president, chief Human Resources and Administrative Officer. “The new Allina Health Foundation will be a seamless philanthropic experience that serves Allina Health’s Whole Way to Better vision that is focused on ensuring every part of our system works in coordination to provide seamlessly connected care to our patients and community. This transformation also allows us to raise more philanthropic support for key priorities like Mental Health and Addiction, the Allina Health Cancer Institute and Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s campus revitalization project.”

Benefactors will still be allowed to designate their financial support to their local entity of their choosing; gifts designated to a local entity remain at the local entity.

Lindloff comes to Allina Health with more than 20 years of non-profit philanthropic management experience. He most recently served as Chief Development Officer at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in New York, NY. Prior to JDRF, he led various philanthropic teams at Mayo Clinic and the University of Minnesota.

“My family and I look forward to returning home to the Midwest, and it’s an honor to be part of a team that will usher in this next chapter for Allina Health,” said Troy Lindloff, vice president, Chief Development Officer. “It’s apparent how philanthropic support has long been critically important to accelerating Allina Health’s mission, vision and strategy. I’m grateful to be part of this evolution of philanthropic efforts to best support patients and communities we serve.”
