Allina Health names David Joos new president of Abbott Northwestern Hospital

MINNEAPOLIS (April 19, 2022) — Allina Health is pleased to announce David Joos will become the new president of Abbott Northwestern Hospital when Ann Madden Rice retires in May 2022. Joos is currently Abbott Northwestern Hospital, vice president, Operations—a role he’s held since its inception in 2018.

david joosJoos has more than 20 years of diverse health care administration experience in several complex health care delivery systems. Before joining Allina Health, he served as division vice president of operations at KentuckyOne Health in Louisville, Ky., where he was responsible for operations at Jewish Hospital, a highly specialized tertiary and quaternary referral center, and oversaw access and care coordination across the delivery system’s 13 hospitals. In addition to his work in Kentucky, Joos has experience leading patient access, outpatient services and operations at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Mich., and OhioHealth in Columbus, Ohio.
