This is the second year in a row Allina Health has been recognized as one of the top performing health systems in the U.S. and the third time it’s received the honor. Allina Health’s Buffalo Hospital made the 100 Top Hospitals list for the eighth time.
Fortune published the annual list which recognizes excellence in clinical outcomes, operational efficiency and patient experience. The Top Hospitals list also considers an organization’s contributions to its community and equity of care.

Recognition as one of the Fortune/Merative 15 Top Health Systems demonstrates Allina Health’s ongoing commitment to prioritize patient-centered care. As compared to their peer health systems, the organizations included on the Fortune/Merative 15 Top Health Systems list had better results on performance indicators intended to measure clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and patient experience. These include lower inpatient mortality rates and fewer patient complications, considering patient severity; care that resulted in fewer healthcare-associated infections; and lower 30-day readmission rates.
