Delaney

Delaney Hart, PharmD
PGY1 pharmacy practice resident

Delaney Hart grew up in Duluth, Minn. and attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities for her bachelor of science in biochemistry. She continued on at UMN to earn her doctor of pharmacy degree. Her professional interests include infectious diseases, emergency medicine and internal medicine. Upon completion of her PGY1, Hart is considering a PGY2 in infectious diseases. She is member of ASHP, MSHP, MCCP, SIDP and IDSA. Outside of pharmacy Hart enjoys traveling, golfing, water activities and hanging out with her husband and their puppy. 

Mary

Mary McNeely, PharmD
PGY1 pharmacy practice resident

Mary McNeely grew up near Forest Lake, Minn., and completed her doctor of pharmacy at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. Her professional interests include infectious diseases, transitions of care and experiential education. Following her PGY1 residency, McNeely is considering further training through a PGY2 specialty residency or obtaining a position as a clinical pharmacist. She is a current member of AHSP and MSHP. Outside of pharmacy, McNeely enjoys being back in Minnesota near family, spending time at the lake and exploring downtown Minneapolis.

David

David Mortensen, PharmD
PGY1 pharmacy practice resident

David Mortensen grew up in Bloomington, Minn., and attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where he earned his bachelor of science in evolutionary biology. He went on to earn his doctor of pharmacy at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities campus. His professional interests include emergency medicine, cardiology, critical care and infectious disease. Following his PGY1 residency, Mortensen is considering a PGY2 in cardiology or obtaining a position as a clinical pharmacist. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, rock climbing, home brewing and traveling with his fiancé.

Derek

Derek Vo, PharmD
PGY1 pharmacy practice resident

Derek Vo grew up in Woodbury, Minn., and attended the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, where he obtained his bachelor of science in chemistry and physiology, and later earned his doctor of pharmacy. His professional interests include clinical management, infectious diseases, cardiology and critical care. Following his PGY1 residency, Vo is considering a PGY2 in health administration. He is a member of APhA, MSHP, and ASHP. Outside of pharmacy, Vo enjoys spending time with family and friends, lifting weights, trying new restaurants and playing video games.

Kristen

Kristen Weiler, PharmD
PGY1 pharmacy practice resident

Kristen Weiler grew up in Ingleside, Ill., and attended Winona State University where she completed her bachelor of science in biology. She went on to earn her doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Her professional interests include oncology, infectious disease, bone marrow transplant and pharmacogenomics. Following her PGY1 residency, Weiler is considering a PGY2 in oncology. She is a member of MSHP and ASHP. Outside of residency, Weiler enjoys playing with her kitten, Loki, hiking outdoors, playing soccer, cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Keith Behrend, PharmD
PGY2 Cardiology Pharmacy Practice Resident

Keith Behrend grew up in Madison, Wisc., and attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison where he completed his bachelor of science in biochemistry. He went on to earn his doctor of pharmacy from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He completed his PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. His professional interests include heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, solid organ transplant and transitions of care, all of which inspired him to pursue the PGY2 in cardiology. Following his PGY2, he hopes to work as a cardiology specialist in either an inpatient and/or outpatient setting. He is a member of MSHP and ACCP. Outside of residency, Behrend enjoys watching Wisconsin sports teams, hiking outdoors and visiting breweries within the Twin-Cities area.

kongk

Kong Khang, PharmD

Kong Khang is originally from Minneapolis and grew up in the surrounding suburbs of the Twin Cities. He went to the University of Minnesota where he obtained his bachelor of arts in biology, society and environment. He continued his academic career there and obtained his doctor of pharmacy then completed his PGY1 residency at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. His practice interests include general medicine, emergency medicine, pharmacy informatics and pharmacy operations. He is an active member of the MSHP New Practitioner’s Committee and ASHP Section Advisory Group on Business Development and System Integration. Outside of pharmacy, Khang enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and traveling the globe.

Youchan Song, PharmD

Youchan Song grew up in Seoul, South Korea. He completed his BS in pharmacy and MS in immunology at Seoul National University, South Korea. He earned his doctor of pharmacy at University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and PGY1 pharmacy residency at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. His professional interests include inpatient and outpatient antimicrobial stewardship, public health initiatives in antimicrobial stewardship, and pharmacy informatics. Upon completion of PGY2 residency, Song hopes to specialize in a position where he can affect infectious diseases patient population in a system and/or community level. He is a current member of SIDP, MSHP and ASHP. Outside of pharmacy, Song enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife and daughter.
