Jihan Eli, PharmD
PGY1 Practice Pharmacy Resident
Jihan is originally from Somalia but grew up in Nashville, TN. She attended Vanderbilt University for her undergraduate studies where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Medicine, Health, and Society. She went on to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Her professional interests include oncology and mental health. Following her PGY1 residency, Jihan is considering further training as a PGY2 in oncology. Outside of pharmacy, Jihan enjoys traveling, biking, baking and spending time with her friends and family.
Omar Rady, PharmD
PGY1 Practice Pharmacy Resident
Omar grew up in Alexandria, Egypt and graduated from Faculty of Clinical Pharmacy, Alexandria University. He went on to earn his PharmD in the United States through equivalency examinations (FPGEC certification). His professional interests include cardiology and critical care. Following PGY1, he is interested in seeking a clinical pharmacist position. Outside of pharmacy, he is interested in following sports, playing basketball, visiting new places, trying new food and spending time with family.
Nada El-Faham, PharmD
PGY1 Practice Pharmacy Resident
Nada mostly grew up in Alexandria, Egypt and completed her degree from Faculty of Clinical Pharmacy, Alexandria University. She moved on to gain her PharmD through equivalency examinations (FPGEC certificate) here in the United States. Her professional interests are nephrology, critical care, and infectious diseases. Following PGY1 she is looking to obtain a clinical pharmacist position. Outside of pharmacy she enjoys traveling, trying new food, reading fantasy novels and interior design as well as going on walks with her husband.
Wongel Melaku, PharmD
PGY1 Practice Pharmacy Resident
Wongel grew up in Ethiopia and moved to Minnesota in 2002. She earned her dual degree in Bachelor of Arts and Science from University of Minnesota – Twin Cities campus. She then went on to work as a MNsure certified navigator where she assisted individuals and families enroll in health insurance. She returned to University of Minnesota to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Her professional interests include oncology, cardiology, and ambulatory care. Wongel is considering pursuing a PGY2 program in oncology or cardiology. During her free time, she enjoys baking and going on backpacking trips with her husband and their two Norwegian Elkhounds.
Brandon Daly, PharmD
PGY1 Practice Pharmacy Resident
Brandon Daly grew up in Eden Prairie, Minnesota and attended the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology, Society, and Environment. He went on to earn his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. His professional interests include emergency medicine, infectious diseases, critical care, and cardiology. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies and cheering on the Timberwolves.
Sarah Wong, PharmD
PGY2 Cardiology Pharmacy Resident
Sarah Wong grew up in Burnsville, Minnesota. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and completed her PGY1 residency training at Abbott Northwestern. Her professional interests include advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, electrophysiology, and leadership. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys traveling, playing golf and pickle ball, trying new foods and spending time with friends and family.
Brandon Anderson, PharmD

Brandon Anderson grew up in Andover, Minnesota. He obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Minnesota – Duluth and went on to complete his PGY1 residency training at Abbott Northwestern. His professional interests include antimicrobial stewardship, antimicrobial resistance, transplant ID, and teaching. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys playing volleyball, hiking, attending concerts and spending time with friends and family.
Marissa Hayday, PharmD
PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Resident
Marissa Hayday grew up in Bloomington, MN and attended the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in biology, society and the environment. She went on to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and completed her PGY1 residency at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Her professional interests include hematology, medication safety, teaching, and breast cancer. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys playing tennis, biking, trying new foods and spending time with family, friends and her cat.
Anna Skillings, PharmD

Anna Skillings grew up in New Ulm, MN. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at South Dakota State University and completed her PGY1 residency at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her professional interests include multi-drug resistance, antimicrobial stewardship, and teaching. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys spending time outside at the lake, playing with her dog, downhill skiing, reading and mountain biking.
