Ellen Arnold

Ellen Arnold, PharmD
PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Resident

Ellen grew up in Kimball, Minnesota. She attended the College of Saint Benedict in Saint Joseph, Minnesota where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry. She went on to the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy. While in pharmacy school, Ellen held an internship & served as the chief intern at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. Her professional interests include oncology and infectious diseases. Outside of pharmacy, Ellen enjoys running or biking the trails in the Twin Cities, downhill or cross-country skiing, and spending time with her family and friends.

Carissa Bradley

Carissa Bradley, PharmD
PGY2 Cardiology Pharmacy Resident

Carissa grew up in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. She attended the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She went on to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, completing didactic courses on the Duluth campus. She completed her PGY1 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Her professional interests include heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, electrophysiology, and transplantation. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys reading, traveling, going to new restaurants and coffee shops, and spending time with family, friends, and her Boston Terrier.

Brey Fure

Brey Fure, PharmD
PGY2 Infectious Disease Pharmacy Resident

Brey grew up in Woodbury, Minnesota. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities Campus. Since then, she completed her PGY1 residency at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Her primary area of professional interest is antimicrobial stewardship, and following completion of her PGY2 residency, she hopes to pursue an infectious disease specialist position. Outside of pharmacy, Brey enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, gardening, and watching European soccer.

Anna Lundeen

Anna Lundeen, PharmD
PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident

Anna grew up in Lino Lakes, Minnesota. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at North Dakota State University. While in pharmacy school, Anna was the lead intern at Northport Drug - an independent, community pharmacy in Fargo, North Dakota. Her professional interests include critical care and cardiology. Outside of pharmacy, Anna enjoys baking, weightlifting, pickleball,  downhill skiing, and spending time with friends and family.

Ally Mahinay

Ally Mahinay, PharmD
PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident

Ally grew up in Round Lake, Illinois, and she completed both her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. While in pharmacy school, Ally worked as an inpatient technician and intern at the Madison VA. She also served as a TA for undergraduate pharmacy courses, where she mentored students interested in pursuing pharmacy. Her primary interest area is oncology, with additional interests in psychiatry and the emergency department. Outside of pharmacy, Ally enjoys trying new restaurants in the Twin Cities, playing video games, and spending time with her family, friends, and three cats.

Gavin McRaven

Gavin McRaven
PGY1/PGY2 HSPAL Pharmacy Resident (2025-2027)

P. Gavin McRaven is from St. Charles, Missouri. Gavin attended the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis, where he received his Bachelors of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and this past May, his Doctor of Pharmacy. Gavin worked as a pharmacy intern at Mercy Hospital - St. Louis during pharmacy school. His love of the Minnesota Timberwolves made him want to move to the Twin Cities, and the PGY1/PGY2 HSPAL program helped solidify his future here. In his spare time, you can find Gavin going for walks, reading thrillers or horror novels, and playing video games.

David Potapenko

David Potapenko, PharmD
PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident

David grew up in Blaine, MN. He completed his Bachelors of Science at the University of Minnesota –  Twin Cities and his Doctor of Pharmacy at University of Wisconsin – Madison. David’s professional interests are within cardiology, psychiatrics, and emergency medicine. During his free time he enjoys traveling, trying new things, going to concerts/music festivals, and spending time with loved ones.

Rachel Turin

Rachel Turin, PharmD
PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident

Rachel, an Eagan, Minnesota native, earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Drake University. Her pharmacy school experiences included internship work at a private retail practice as well as research and teaching assistant roles at Drake University. She is particularly interested in cardiology, oncology, and internal medicine. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys camping, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family.

Jake Woodruff

Jake Woodruff, PharmD
PGY1/PGY2 HSPAL Pharmacy Resident (2024-2026)

Jake is our current PGY2 resident in the Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) program, completing our nationally recognized two-year residency training program. Before completing his first year of residency with Abbott, Jake held internships at both Hennepin County Medical Center and Regions Hospital. Jake has a strong passion for student-run free clinics and is currently serving as a pharmacy preceptor at the Phillips Neighborhood Clinic and holds a national position on the Board of Directors for the Society of Student-Run Free Clinics. In addition to this, Jake also serves as a member of the ASHP PALRC Advocacy and Practice Advancement Workgroup and as the Chair for the MSHP Social Media Committee. In his free time, he likes to try new restaurants around the Twin Cities area and spend time with his family and friends.
Mingyi Zhang

Mingyi Zhang, PharmD
PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident

Mingyi grew up in Tianjin, China, and came to the United States in 2016 to pursue her college education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities and later completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. With a strong foundation in both clinical and research settings, Mingyi brings diverse experience from inpatient care, retail pharmacy, and clinical research. During pharmacy school, she completed two research projects focused on pharmacogenomics and oncology—fields that continue to shape her passion for translational medicine and clinical trials. She is especially interested in bridging scientific discoveries with real-world applications in pharmacy practice, with a growing focus on oncology and infectious diseases. Outside of her professional pursuits, Mingyi enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family.
