Mushroom and sweet onion pork patties

Pork contains vitamin B1, B2 and B6, which are nutrients needed for your body to grow and repair muscles and nerves. 

Ingredients

1 pound extra-lean (96%) ground pork
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup finely chopped sweet onion
8 ounces baby portabella mushrooms, finely chopped
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided

Directions

1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except 1 tablespoon oil. Use your hands to mix thoroughly. Form into 4 patties.
2. In a large skillet, heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil over medium-high heat. Place patties in skillet and cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Use a heat-safe spatula to flip patties and cook for another 6 to 7 minutes or until a cooking thermometer inserted into the center of a patty reaches 145 F. Allow patties to cool slightly and enjoy warm.
