    Recipe tip

Saddened by stale sweets? The freezer is an excellent way to keep homemade bars fresh for months! After baking a pan of bars, let cool and cut into squares. Then place the bars in a zip-close freezer bag, seal and place in the freezer. When you’re in need of something sweet, defrost at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes to enjoy a fresh-as-the-first-day treat! (This also works great for cookies, quick breads and muffins.)
