    Ginger ale-blueberry beverage Heart Smart Gluten Free Low Sodium

    This beverage gets a hint of blue from anthocyanin-rich blueberries! Anthocyanin, an antioxidant (“cancer-fighter”), helps protect your cells from damage.

    Ingredients

    2 cups fresh blueberries
    4 1/2 cups ginger ale
    2 tablespoons lemon juice

    Directions

    1. Use a fork to pierce each blueberry. Place bowl of pierced blueberries in the freezer for 20 to 30 minutes.
    2. Combine all ingredients in a 2-quart pitcher. Stir. Place in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
    3. Enjoy over ice!
