Scholarship opportunities for Steele County residents pursuing careers in health care

Recipients will be selected based on need and merit

Owatonna, Minn. (Jan. 12, 2024) — The Owatonna Hospital Auxiliary and Donald Sanford Fund are funding scholarships for people pursuing careers in nursing and health-related careers. Completed applications must be received by Sunday, March 17, 2024. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on need and merit.

Owatonna Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship:

  • Applicant must be majoring in a health-related field at a college, medical school, or vocational school.
  • Applicants entering their second year of school or above are considered.
  • Applicant must live in Steele County, be an employee of the Owatonna Hospital or the immediate family (spouse or dependent child) of an Owatonna Hospital employee.
  • The Auxiliary’s official application form must be completed.

Donald Sanford Nursing Scholarship:

  • Applicant must be majoring in nursing at a college or vocational school.
  • Applicants entering first year or above of nursing school are considered.
  • Applicant must live in Steele County, be an employee of the Owatonna Hospital, or the immediate family (spouse or dependent child) of an Owatonna Hospital employee.
  • The Auxiliary’s official application form must be completed.
