Allina Health statement following deadly shooting at St. Francis medical building in Tulsa, Oklahoma

MINNEAPOLIS (June 2, 2022) — Today, the reminder of the devastating impact of gun violence in our communities and across our country feels very close to home. Allina Health is joining other health care organizations unified against gun violence as a threat to public health. We must speak up on behalf of the safety of our employees, patients and the communities we serve. Gun violence and all of its horrific impacts are preventable and as health care providers we have an important role to play in creating a safer future for all.

Today, our hearts are with our health care colleagues both near and far who have been impacted by gun violence and we hold all those whose lives have been ended or forever altered by gun violence close to our hearts.
