Allina Health names Jill Ostrem President of Mercy and United Hospitals

Minneapolis (March 22, 2022) — Allina Health is pleased to announce Jill Ostrem has been named President of Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids and United Hospital in St. Paul. In her new role as president, Ostrem provides executive leadership for hospital operations, facilities management, patient experience initiatives, development of staff and physicians, and strategic planning.

Ostrem previously held the Vice President of Operations role at United Hospital, where she was responsible for the hospital’s clinical, operational and financial performance.

Ostrem has more than 25 years managing large hospitals and clinics. She has held key leadership positions in other health systems across the country, including Senior Vice President of Hospital Operations for Jefferson Health, New Jersey (formerly Kennedy Health) in New Jersey and as Senior Vice President of Health and Well-being at Parkview Health in Indiana.

A member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Ostrem holds a Master's degree in Hospital & Health Services Administration from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.
