 Before you can start treatment, you must have a substance abuse assessment. Walk-ins are accommodated as possible.

Addiction services — outpatient

Allina Health Outpatient Addiction Services - Mercy Hospital - Unity Campus

Our expert care team specializes in addiction treatment for alcohol and drugs, including opioids. We offer comprehensive coaching and education to teach you skills and proven techniques for recovery.

Our individualized and group programming provides peer support and encouragement in an environment that fosters self-care, meaningful relationships, mindfulness and mental wellness. Our programs allow you to address both addiction and mental health conditions in one place.

We serve community members of the greater Twin Cities and surrounding areas. 

What it is

Allina Health Outpatient Addiction Services - Mercy Hospital - Unity Campus includes up to 12 hours per week of unique programming with opportunities to participate in:

  • three different program tracks including: intensive outpatient care, continuing care and relapse prevention
  • individual counseling with licensed alcohol and drug counselors
  • skills-based group therapy with licensed alcohol and drug counselors to learn proven techniques for recovery
  • groups and education on topics such as mindfulness, coping skills, meditation, emotional health, stress reduction, trauma, addiction, and healing your mind and body
  • therapy groups focused on mental health and chemical dependency led by a master level therapist with co-licensure as a licensed alcohol and drug counselor to help you address issues associated with trauma and other mental health concerns
  • individualized counseling with mental health professionals as needed
  • spirituality groups led by licensed alcohol and drug counselors
  • programming by outside recovery speakers who share their experience, strength and hope.
  • strong service coordination and case management services
  • coordinated care with other medical, mental health and addiction specialists based on your needs

  • care teams made up of licensed alcohol and drug counselors, chaplains, recovery speakers, and therapists with master’s degrees

Good to know

  • We accept most insurance
  • To qualify for public funding for the program, you must schedule a “Rule 25” chemical use assessment and/or already have completed one.
