Preventive Cardiology Clinic

The Preventive Cardiology Clinic offers programs for adults who are at risk for heart disease and other cardiovascular diseases. It also addresses the needs of patients who have had previous heart-related health problems to prevent further occurrences or progression of heart disease.

At your appointment, our health care team evaluates your heart disease risk factors, provides recommendations for a heart-healthy lifestyle including diet and exercise, discusses medication management as needed, and tailors a care plan to maximize your cardiovascular health.

Laboratory work can be completed at any Allina lab in the two weeks before your appointment.  This allows for a timely review at the appointment and assists in care plan decisions.

Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute and Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation are committed to research improving the cardiovascular health of individuals and communities around the globe.  Our patients have the opportunity to participate in research and clinical trials.
