Robotic-assisted surgery at Mercy Hospital — Unity Campus

Changing the way doctors operate and the way patients recover

Our expertly trained surgeons use less invasive robotic surgery to perform complex operations.

Surgeons at use robotic-assisted surgery to treat problems affecting the:

  • Prostate
  • Kidneys
  • Bladder
  • Uterus
  • Colon
  • Hernia
  • Gallbladder
  • Esophagus

Advanced technology, increased precision

Robotic surgery is performed using the da Vinci® Surgical System. This robot is essentially an extension of the surgeon's hands and eyes, with the surgeon initiating and controlling every movement. This gives surgeons more flexibility, increased precision and greater reach. It is performed through a few, or sometimes only one, tiny incision.

Whether you have an enlarged prostate, uterine fibroids or another condition that requires an operation, robotic surgery offers many potential benefits, including shorter hospital stays and a quicker return to daily activities.

This project was made possible by generous contributions to Mercy & Unity Hospitals Foundation.
