• Weight gain of 3 pounds in 1 day or 5 pounds in 1 week
• Increased shortness of breath or increased swelling or bloating
• Dark urine or dark stools
• Changes to your driveline exit site (drainage, redness, tenderness or swelling)
• Medicine questions or need refills
• Warfarin questions
• Need to schedule an appointment
• Any other non-urgent requests

• Your VAD alarms
• You have dizziness or lightheadedness
• You have a temperature higher than 100.5 F
• You have any condition that requires emergency treatment
