Presenter: David Rakel, MD

David Rakel was founder and director of the University of Wisconsin Integrative Medicine program. He is now professor and chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of New Mexico. He has authored several books including the recently published "The Compassionate Connection: The Healing Power of Empathy and Mindful Listening." The Compassionate Connection is based on his clinical experience with patients to describe the power of human connection and the ways it can be used to boost health and well-being for patients and caregivers.
