Residency at Mercy Hospital

Our program includes four units of ACPE-accredited clinical pastoral education and offers advanced, specialized training in clinical spiritual care, emphasizing spiritual/theological integration, ethical reflection and leadership in spiritual care. Residents experience clinical assignments that provide in-depth exposure to specialty areas, enabling each student to become an integral part of the health care team.

Salary

12-month residency program salary rates are $35,568 plus compensation for scheduled on-call coverage.

Benefits

Medical and dental insurance, paid time off, and may include tuition reimbursement for continuing education.

Tuition

$750 for the first unit; $250 for each subsequent unit. A $375 security deposit is required within two weeks of being accepted. This non-refundable deposit is applied to the first unit’s tuition.

To apply

We begin receiving applications October 1 for the residency beginning in the following year. Interviews typically begin after December 1 and continue until programs are filled, typically around March.
