From preconception counseling to pregnancy to childbirth and beyond, you'll find expert, nurturing and personalized care at Allina Health's Cambridge Medical Center—a hospital and clinic in one, in a close-to-home location.

From the very beginning, you can count on us for:

  • different types of pregnancy care providers to fit with your family
  • care that's focused on your and your family's comfort and personal wishes
  • unique offerings and specialized care, close to home

Different types of pregnancy care

  • Our experts include OB/GYNs; family medicine physicians; nurses and staff with many years of labor/delivery and postpartum experience; and pediatricians.
  • Our providers live in Cambridge and the surrounding communities, too. We know your community because we are a part of it, too.

Care that's focused on comfort and your wishes

  • We'll work with you on fulfilling your birth experience wishes in a family-focused and safe environment.
  • You'll be able to access birthing balls/peanut balls; guided imagery and aromatherapy to help manage pain.
  • Many times, families have the same birth center nurses care for them throughout their labor, delivery and postpartum experience.

Unique offerings and specialized care

  • Our Partners in Pregnancy program offers families two appointments. The first one involves a birth center tour. The second appointment occurs after delivery and focuses on your and your baby's health
  • Vaginal birth after Cesarean (VBAC) following physician evaluation
  • Extensive breast feeding support from certified lactation consultants.
  • Online class options through Amma Parenting Center
  • Virtual care partnership with with newborn specialists at Children's Minnesota that gives you added peace of mind if your baby has any health concerns. Using audio and video technology, Cambridge Medical Center doctors can consult in real time with a newborn specialist at Children's. From there, both care teams can decide on the best care plan for your newborn and determine if he or she should be transferred to another hospital for specialized care.
  • Access to Allina Health's entire network of facilities and providers which includes Minnesota Perinatal Physicians (high-risk pregnancy specialists), Mercy Hospital, Abbott Northwestern Hospital and others.

Visiting the Birth Center

The safety and security of our new moms, babies and their families is very important to us.
