Your gifts in action

Due to the generosity of so many individuals and businesses that support Buffalo Hospital Foundation, we have been able to make exciting updates and enhancements to the services offered at Buffalo Hospital. Below is just a glimpse of the projects we have recently completed.

If you have questions, or would like to learn more about any of these impactful initiatives, please reach out to Ashley Andersen, Foundation Development Officer.

Support for employees at Allina Health Buffalo Crossroads Clinic

Coalition_Social_Posts_BUFFALOSTRONG_1200x900Buffalo Hospital Foundation and the employees at Allina Health Buffalo Crossroads Clinic would like to thank everyone, those nearby and those we do not even know around the country, for the outpouring of love and support that has surrounded our Buffalo Crossroads clinic team over the past two months. To see an entire community come together to show their compassion and care for each of us has brought us comfort when we needed it most. Donations to Buffalo Hospital Foundation for Crossroads Employee Support have totaled more than $53,000 and will be used to provide comfort, well-being services, a return to work ceremony as well as additional ways to support the healing of the Buffalo Crossroads employees. The many donated gift cards have been or will be used for team meals and gatherings and individual support for Crossroads employees in need. We will continue to share stories of fundraisers and the needs you have met on the Buffalo Strong Facebook page and website

You can give a gift today to support the Crossroads team. Select “Where the need is greatest” and write “Crossroads employee support” in the comments box.

In addition to this exceptional care for the entire clinic team, generous Allina Health employees and community members contributed more than $113,000 to the Caring for Caregivers Fund for Allina Health Buffalo Crossroads Clinic victims and their families. These funds will be divided evenly between the five victims and their families to continue supporting them in their ongoing healing journey.

Nature’s Healing Spaces

This two-year giving campaign to create an outdoor healing environment on the Buffalo Hospital campus allowed us to install walking paths, various seating and conversation areas, a rehabilitation walkway for inpatient physical therapy, beautiful blooming landscapes and natural grassy areas to reduce the need for lawn maintenance.

Buffalo Hospital’s healing landscape provides a restorative sanctuary for patients, a quiet refuge for staff and a tranquil destination for the entire community to enjoy.

You can be a part of putting the final touches on this project, such as a pergola, seating for the patio and native prairie grass restoration around the pond. Naming opportunities provide you with an opportunity to be recognized for your generosity for years to come.

3D Mammography

Through the generosity of our donors, Buffalo Hospital now offers the latest technology in breast imaging. Our 3D mammography suite is designed for comfort and privacy to make the experience as relaxing as possible. Also known as digital breast tomosynthesis, 3-D mammography creates more detailed images of your breast. The installation of the new advanced device is part of an Allina Health system-wide effort to provide the most effective tools available to help detect breast cancers at the earliest possible stage. This is another way we are expanding on our promise to provide exceptional care, close to home.
