[ABC Newspapers, March 18, 2016]   Andover High School students and others across the state of Minnesota are taking the “ Chiller Challenge ” to de-stress. The challenge, launched by Allina Health last year as part of it's Change to Chill project, aims to help adolescents find balance in their lives, according to Karen Manikowski, project manager with Allina.

[ABC Newspapers, April 12, 2012]   Lions and Lioness clubs and Allina have provided screenings in health classes at Anoka and Coon Rapids high schools. The screenings not only made health lessons personal to students, they also served as a way to identify health issues requiring attention.

[Anoka County Union, March 18, 2011]   With no known cure for Parkinson’s disease, finding the right combination of treatments and therapy can have a huge impact on a patient’s quality of life. A new therapy for the neurological disease being offered in the north metro is seeing great results, with many Parkinson’s patients experiencing improved mobility and communication after graduating from the program.

[Sun Newspapers; Allina Newsroom, December 01, 2010]   Take Heart Anoka , a community service of Allina Hospitals & Clinics funded by the Mercy & Unity Hospitals Foundation, is making available grants to help churches, schools, businesses and other community organizations obtain, install and be trained in the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). "We encourage facilities that are open to the public to apply for these AED grants," said Susan Nygaard, Allina community programs manager.
