[KARE-TV, July 27, 2011]   Minnesota's colon cancer rates have been decreasing about two percent over the past 10 years, says Tim Sielaff, MD, president of Allina's Virginia Piper Cancer Institute. However, each year, 2,500 Minnesotans receive the diagnosis, and 750 to 800 people die from it.

[Fridley, January 01, 0001]   Allina Hospitals & Clinics, in collaboration with several local health care organizations, provided free colorectal cancer screenings for under- or uninsured Minnesotans on Saturday, May 16, at Unity Hospital, Fridley, Minn. The event is part of Allina's effort to help improve access to colorectal cancer screening services for residents in Allina's service areas.
