Eye retina specialist, Dr. Geoff Emerson , of Allina's Phillips Eye Institute , warns that even a few seconds looking at the sun without protecting your eye can permanently damage your eyes.

The campaign — a partnership of the St. Paul Public Schools Foundation, the school district and the Phillips Eye Institute Foundation — provides eye screening and additional care or glasses, regardless of ability to pay, to 14,000 students.
