[The Journal, November 15, 2017]   The New Ulm Area Chamber paid tribute to one of the community’s most important businesses Tuesday night: the New Ulm Medical Center (NUMC). A special banquet dinner was held in honor of NUMC at the New Ulm Event Center.

[New Ulm Journal, September 26, 2017]   The New Ulm Medical Center (NUMC) was named the 2017 Business of the Year Monday morning. The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce surprised NUMC staff Monday when representatives of the Chamber dropped by to announce the award.

[New Ulm Journal, April 10, 2017]   Since Hearts Beat Back: The Heart of New Ulm Project (HONU) started back in 2009, people who live and work in New Ulm have made a variety of changes to live a healthier lifestyle and reduce their risk for heart disease. For the past eight years, researchers at The Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation (MHIF) and Allina Health have been tracking health improvements in the community, and in March, researchers presented yet another study showing positive results, particularly with blood pressure and cholesterol control.

[New Ulm Journal, May 23, 2014]   The New Ulm Medical Center celebrated its new partnership with the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing on Thursday, with Penny George assisting Mayor Robert Beussman in cutting a ribbon in the hospital lobby. The Penny George Institute for Health and Healing was founded in 2003 and is a part of Allina Health .

[New Ulm Journal, June 29, 2013]   New Ulm Medical Center , part of Allina Health , officially opened it's newly expanded and remodeled birthing center Friday, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The $1 million project was supported by $200,000 in local donations.

[New Ulm Journal, June 04, 2013]   Hearts Beat Back: The Heart of New Ulm Project has launched its newest community health challenge, "Lose it to Win it: Weigh in, New Ulm." The free 12-month community health challenge is designed to help the community members lose weight or maintain weight and provide an opportunity to be rewarded for making healthful lifestyle choices. The community prize that can be earned is $100,000 worth of new outdoor fitness equipment for New Ulm parks and bicycle improvements such as bicycle racks, bicycle lanes and signage.

[New Ulm Journal, June 02, 2013]   About 50 New Ulm Medical Center employees, their families and friends packaged 1,400 healthy meals for neighbors in need Saturday morning in the NUMC parking lot. Allina Health donated cans of black beans, corn, diced tomatoes, chicken and one-pound bags of brown rice in the packages designed to feed a family of four.
