HTM professionals ensure the availability of functional, properly configured equipment, and nurses rely on this technology to provide quality care to patients.

At the intersection of these goals are initiatives to decrease the often overwhelming number of alarms produced by medical devices—an effort intended to reduce so-called alarm fatigue in clinicians and improve patient safety.
