Postpartum depression affects one in seven mothers

[KARE-TV, November 14, 2015] As many as one in seven new moms are suffering from postpartum depression. About 50 percent of those women go untreated and unrecognized.

Dr. Elizabeth LaRusso, perinatal and reproductive health psychiatrist at The Mother Baby Center at Abbott Northwestern, spoke with KARE Saturday to discuss the different forms of postpartum depression, the signs, how it often starts during pregnancy and the treatment options.
