Abbott Northwestern Hospital dedicates new AMVETS post in honor of Lt. Col. Mark Weber

[KMSP-TV, July 30, 2014] Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s AMVETS Post 41-730 was dedicated to the late Lt. Col. Mark Weber today, which would have been his 43rd birthday.

Weber had a profound effect on his caregivers when he was a patient of the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute® — Abbott Northwestern Hospital.

“He was someone who was truly involved in his care. He needed to understand the facts about his body and his cancer. He moved all of his health care team to be better, strive harder, and think more about what we could do together with his help. He inspired me to new levels as a nurse, challenging me in all aspects of his care,” said Marie Kramer, R.N.
