Shoveling heavy snow can lead to serious injury

[KSTP TV, February 11, 2013] The wet heavy snow that fell across much of the state Sunday into Monday increases the risk of injury while shoveling.

Jeff Lanenberg is a Paramedic with Allina Health EMS; he says there are a few typical mistakes made most often, "They're either not in shape, or not doing it right, or not doing it in moderation."

Lanenberg says rushing can add additional and unnecessary stress to shoveling, "It's almost like their goal is, 'How fast can I get it done?'" What the full KSTP report below.
