Miss America contestant pursuing double mastectomy

[KMSP Fox 9 News, January 11, 2013] Win or lose Saturday, Miss America contestant Allyn Rose plans to undergo a double mastectomy after the pageant as a preventive measure to reduce her chances of developing breast cancer, the disease that killed her mother, grandmother and great aunt.

Allina Health genetic counselor Shari Baldinger at the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute tells Fox 9 News it's a decision more women are making these days.
