Mercy Hospital nurse saves woman after collapse at basketball game

[KMSP Fox 9 News, December 18, 2012] Kari Echtenkamp, a nurse at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, is a hero. She was at her son's ninth-grade basketball game when something in the stands caught her eye last week.

"I looked over and saw a lady slumped over another lady," Echtenkamp recalled. Echtenkamp ran over and laid the woman on the bleachers. "She did not have a pulse."

On the court, the game stopped and the players couldn't help, but looked over as Echtenkamp began to perform CPR. Watch the whole story from KMSP Fox 9 below.
