Dorothy Schadegg, United Hospital volunteer known for Christmas stockings for babies, dies at 103

[Pioneer Press, November 25, 2012] Hundreds of people who don't know Dorothy Schadegg's name nonetheless have a token to remember her by -- one of the 1,700 Christmas stockings she sewed for babies born at United Hospital.

Schadegg, of Mendota Heights, volunteered at the St. Paul hospital for 25 years, coming in Monday mornings until about a month ago. She died Nov. 24 of a massive stroke, at age 103. Read more at twincities.com.
