Norovirus showing up in Minnesota

[KMSP Fox 9, February 07, 2012] Norovirus infections recently forced two cruise ships to return to port early in south Florida after hundreds of people were sickened by the vicious gastrointestinal illness, but that isn't the only industry seeing infections. The virus has also showing up in Minnesota.

Norovirus symptoms mimic those of food poisoning, and it can sometimes be mistaken as a stomach flu -- but anyone who has fallen victim to this germ knows it's much worse than a flu bug.

"You feel like you are going to die, that's for sure," said Michelle Farber, infection prevention specialist at Allina's Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. "It's one of the most contagious viruses that we have." Watch the complete story here.
