[KSTP TV, May 10, 2011] It was a problem for a St. Paul hospital easily solved...what do you do with medical equipment from an old emergency room? United Hospital donated their surplus medical equipment to the Minnetonka-based charity, Hope for the City.
In turn, the nonprofit will send it to the largest hospital in east Africa—a 1,700-bed facility called Mulago Hospital in Kampala, Uganda. Hope for the City officials say they're warehousing and shipping equipment valued between $500,000 to $1 million from United. Watch the story below.
