[Twin Cities Business, March 31, 2011] The annual Thomson Reuters study of the “100 Top Hospitals” honored two Minnesota medical centers including Allina's Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, recognized in the medium community hospitals category. Reuters evaluated 2,914 hospitals across the country on measures of overall organization performance including patient care.
U.S. News also ranked top hospitals by metro area. To be on the regional list, a hospital had to score in the top 25 percent among its peers in at least one of 16 medical specialties. The top Twin Cities hospitals included Allina's Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, United Hospital in St. Paul and Unity Hospital in Fridley. Read the full story at tcbmag.com.
