[KMSP Fox 9 News, February 16, 2011] The warm weather is bringing a dangerous twist -- slick patches of sidewalk that are sending people to the doctor’s office. The unseasonably warm weather has brought welcome relief from the bitter chill of winter, but it’s also putting walkers at risk for falls.
So far, Allina's Abbott Northwestern said they have treated 22 injuries related to falls on ice.
United Hospital emergency room physician Dr. Dan Foley says that not all falls are serious, but it is important to go to a doctor or hospital if a person who has fallen exhibits any of some particular symptoms after a fall. Watch the full story below.
