Emergency Rooms, Tow Companies Swamped by Ice Storm Accidents

[KARE11-TV, January 01, 0001] Walking on it or driving on it, this weekend's ice storm caused problems for people all around the Twin Cities Metro Area. "We're seeing double the amount of patients," says Deb Purfeest, a nurse with United Hospital in Saint Paul. "We're seeing wrist injuries or the twisting of ankles as they fall." Twin Cities hospitals are admitting dozens of patients who have fallen and slipped due to ice-covered driveways, sidewalks, and side streets.Watch the story below.
