Brightening Options for Heart Failure Patients

[Eden Prairie News, November 17, 2010] Eden Prairie-based Sunshine Heart developed its C-Pulse heart assist system years ago, but only now is it ready to hit the market. The company says the product could potentially help millions of patients globally who experience moderate heart failure.

Most recently, the St. Paul Heart Clinic implanted two Minnesota patients with the C-Pulse technology.

"Both are doing extremely well," said Dr. Alan Bank M.D., cardiologist and medical director of the Research Division at St. Paul Heart Clinic. "It's a very promising therapy."
