[New Ulm Journal, October 06, 2010] After more than 5,200 New Ulm residents learned about their risk factors for having a heart attack in 2009, they continue to participate in a multitude of community health events throughout 2010.

The New Ulm area community is invited to attend the third Annual Hearts Beat Back: The Heart of New Ulm Project Community Summit to hear more about what's happened and what's next with the project.

The Community Summit is set for Saturday, Oct. 16 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the District Administrative Center Auditorium at State and Center streets.

Based on the results of heart health screenings, programs and interventions were developed this past year to improve the health of the community and offered throughout New Ulm, from physician offices to businesses, schools, parks and community centers.
