Allina's Abbott Northwestern on Top Hospitals' list

[Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, July 16, 2010] Five Minnesota facilities received rankings in U.S. News & World Report’s 2010-11 Best Hospitals rankings.

Mayo Clinic in Rochester was the only Minnesota health provider to make it onto the 14-hospital “honor roll”; Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis ranked No. 38 in neurology and neurosurgery, No. 39 in heart and heart surgery and No. 44 in orthopedics; University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview received rankings in six areas: kidney disorder (18), pulmonology (23), gastroenterology (29), cancer (37), ear, nose and throat (44), and orthopedics (46); Hennepin County Medical Center ranked No. 34 in diabetes care and No. 47 in treatment of kidney disorders; St. Cloud Hospital was No. 49 in urology.
