[Business Wire, April 20, 2010] Allina has selected the Language Access Network (“LAN”) to provide video language interpretation services to its hospitals. Allina is integrating LAN into the language services program for its Limited English Proficient and Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing patient populations. These services will be delivered via a HIPAA compliant high-speed broadband network.
“With 11 hospitals, we needed a solution that could meet the needs of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing populations in particular," said Tom Falkowski, Director of Patient Access Strategies. "LAN has provided us a product and service that addresses our needs for on-demand interpretation services for our hospitals."
