February 12, 2021 — Today, our Allina Health family collectively recognized a moment of silence at noon in honor of the tragic loss of Lindsay Overbay and the four other employees injured in the attack at the Allina Health Buffalo Crossroads clinic on Tuesday. Feb 9. Both Dr. Penny Wheeler, CEO and Lisa Shannon, President and Chief Operating Officer were present in Buffalo for the moment of silence and spent time meeting with the Buffalo Crossroads clinic staff, EMS and hospital staff impacted by Tuesday’s tragedy.

“I was honored to spend time today meeting with members of our Allina Health family that have been so closely impacted by Tuesday’s tragic events," said Dr. Penny Wheeler, CEO of Allina Health. "Even in our darkest hour, they continue to inspire me with their compassion for their colleagues and the greater Buffalo community. I could not be prouder to be a part of this amazing team.”

Today, two more of our colleagues involved in the incident gave Allina Health permission to share their names.
• Tammy Schaufler, Clinic Business Representative, who has been with Allina Health for 32 years
• Antonya Fransen-Pruden, Licensed Practical Nurse, who joined Allina Health in 2018

We continue to pray for their on-going recovery and thank the team at North Memorial for the exceptional care they are providing to them and their families.
