New Allina Health Hastings Clinic opens Nov. 6

HASTINGS, Minn.10/10/2017  Allina Health's newest clinic, the Allina Health Hastings Clinic, will open Nov. 6, in Hastings and replaces the First Street Clinic location. The two-story, 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility is designed based on community feedback and offers more space to serve the growing community.

"Our goal is for residents of Hastings and surrounding communities to receive comprehensive health care close to home and, at the same time, have access to specialists through the broader Allina Health network," said Kevin Best, MD, lead physician for the clinic. “We are excited to welcome the new clinic as the next chapter in a long history of providing exceptional care to Minnesota and western Wisconsin.”

The new clinic will offer primary care services, relocated from the First Street clinic, including family practice physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pediatricians, same-day care providers, occupational health services, eye services, mental health and occupational health. New to the Hastings community from Allina Health are integrative medicine services ranging from acupuncture to nutrition consultations through the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing.

The new location will house 36 providers and 140 support staff members, including lab and x-ray technicians, clinical assistants, nurses and business office staff.

Just a mile-and-a-half away, Regina Hospital, part of Allina Health, provides a broad scope of services from a family birth center to several surgical specialties, rehabilitation services and newly expanded emergency and medical imaging departments. A new cancer care clinic and chemotherapy service also opens this month. “The new clinic is part of a $63 million investment Allina Health has made in the Hastings community,” said Tom Thompson, president of Regina Hospital.

Additional specialty services are available at the Allina Health Nininger Road Clinic located on the Regina Hospital campus.
