MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. 9/20/2016 — Because women's bodies are different than men's, they experience different sports injuries.

Aimee Klapach, MD, and Robby Bershow, MD, will present Women's Sports Injuries – Understanding, managing and preventing the "Ouch!" of activity on Thursday, Oct. 13 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at CRAVE Restaurant in the Galleria in Edina.

Be Healthy! A Smart Series for Women is free. Register by calling 952-925-4321.

Drs. Klapach and Bershow will discuss common injuries in active women, the impact of the injuries later in life, and what can be done to prevent the initial injury and subsequent problems.

Klapach is a sports medicine specialist and an orthopedic surgeon who practices at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Bershow is a non-operative sports medicine and orthopedic specialist. Both see patients at Sports & Orthopaedic Specialists, part of Allina Health.
