Pharmacy residency application

  • The Mercy Pharmacy Residency Program seeks residents that have pharmacy working experience, participation in extracurricular and volunteer activities and the ability to work efficiently and productively in an independent manner.

    Expectations

    • Resident goals should align with our objectives
    • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
    • PGY1 – complete NAPLEX and MN Pharmacy Law exam prior to July 1
    • PGY2 – completion of ASHP-Accredited PGY1 program, MN licensure by August 1 or as otherwise arranged with the director

    Application requirements

    • Submit all material through the PhORCAS system
    • Application deadline is January 1 of each year
    • PGY1 NMS Code: 167513 - our PGY1 residency program moved to a single match number in 2018
    • PGY-2 NMS Code: 736063

    Interviews

    • On-site interviews for invited applicants will take place during January and February
    • A short presentation is required during the interview
    • Meet with the director of pharmacy, clinical managers, operations managers, preceptors and current residents
