Brittany Hawke (PGY2) is from Little Canada, Minn.
She received her bachelor degree in Chemistry from St. Olaf College. She went on
to receive her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota, Twin
Cities in 2016 and completed her PGY1 Residency at Mercy Hospital in 2017. She
has eight years of experience as a pharmacy technician and intern at St. John’s
Hospital. In her free time Hawke enjoys exploring Minnesota parks, cooking
and spending time with friends and family.
Sam Fish (PGY1) is from Champlin, Minn. He
received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of St.
Thomas in 2013 and his doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of
Minnesota, Minneapolis in May 2017. Fish worked as an intern on the Unity
campus for three years and served as a teaching assistant for the sterile
compounding for P1 student at the University of Minnesota. His clinical
interests include emergency medicine, infectious disease and critical care. Fish
enjoys playing volleyball in the city of Minneapolis league, card and board
games, relaxing at the beach on a beautiful summer day and exploring local
Toni McCain (PGY1) is from East Bethel, Minn.
She received her bachelor of arts in biology from the University of St. Thomas
in 2013 and her doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota,
Duluth in May 2017. Previous work experience includes nine years
at Goodrich Pharmacy in St. Francis, Minn. and one year at Medicine Shoppe in
Cloquet, Minn. McCain has interests in mental health and infectious disease,
and she is excited to expand her knowledge and skills in these and other
topics this year. For fun, she enjoys fishing and other outdoor
Kevin Mogen (PGY1) is from River Falls, Wis. He
received his Bachelor of Science in pharmacology and toxicology and biology
from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his PharmD degree at the
University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He worked as an undergrad researcher
while at Madison, but once he came to pharmacy school he worked for three years
at Mercy Hospital as an inpatient intern. His current clinical interests
include emergency medicine, infectious disease and mental health. In his free
time Mogen enjoys traveling, staying active, and reading.
Megan Nelson (PGY1) is from Elk River, Minn. She
received her doctorate of pharmacy and master’s in business administration from
Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. While in school she had the opportunity
to gain pharmacy experience in the long-term care and outpatient settings as a
pharmacy intern. Nelson also served as a teaching assistant for Drake
University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Her clinical interests
include mental health, pediatrics and administration. In her free time Nelson
enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies, baking and golfing.
