The Mother Baby Center at Mercy with Children's

The Mother Baby Center is a state-of-the-art birth center that is designed with mothers, babies and families in mind.

  • Family-focused design to keep mothers and babies together, fostering bonding
  • Dedicated main entrance with valet services and immediate access to labor and delivery and triage rooms
  • Large, private rooms with full bathrooms and hospitality amenities
  • In-room sleep accommodations
  • Level II special care nursery, operated and staffed by Children's, with all private rooms. These private accommodations allow families to stay with their babies—a special comfort and important feature for families whose babies have heightened care needs.

  • Children's neonatal nurse practitioner on-site 24/7

The Mother Baby Center at Mercy with Children's is a partnership that integrates the maternal services, including perinatal, maternal assessment, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care of Mercy Hospital, part of Allina Health, with the neonatal services and all pediatric specialty care services within Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.

Perinatal clinic

For more than 25 years, Minnesota Perinatal Physicians (MPP) has provided high-risk pregnancy care for women in the five-state region. MPP offers comprehensive diagnostic services and medical/surgical care for a full range of fetal abnormalities, maternal health concerns and complications of pregnancy.

Pediatrics

Mercy Hospital is the only Twin Cities suburban hospital to provide pediatric hospitalists 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A pediatric hospitalist is a board-certified physician who is specially trained to care for children while they are in the hospital.

Gynecology

Comprehensive gynecologic care by physicians and staff who are committed to serving women through all stages of their lives.
